Intellus is a data broker that collects and sells personal information such as mailing addresses, phone numbers, and emails to marketers and other third parties. If you want to protect your privacy and reduce how your data is shared, you can submit an opt-out request directly with Intellus. The process is usually straightforward, but it requires you to provide certain details to verify your identity. Follow the steps below to remove your information from Intellus's databases.
Find the removal link: Go to the Intelius website and scroll to the bottom. Click "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information."
Search for yourself: Enter your name and state to find your listing.
Copy the URL: Click on your listing and copy the profile URL from the address bar.
Go to the suppression form: Go to the Intelius suppression form.
Paste the URL and submit: Paste your profile URL and enter your email address to submit the request.
Confirm via email: Check your email for a verification link and click it to finalize the opt-out.
