Deleteme.com has uncovered an elaborate online fraud operation in which an unlicensed financial entity, AITA Ltd, falsely claimed to hold regulatory licenses from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) and the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). This sophisticated scam exploited cloned regulatory websites, misleading investors with fake licensing credentials and professional-looking platforms.
The Scam Uncovered
Our cyber deleteme intelligence team conducted a targeted investigation into the domain aita.trade, following reports of suspicious activity. The findings revealed that AITA Ltd (formerly Trading Booster Ltd) created fake websites mimicking official regulatory bodies, such as cysek.eu, to convince unsuspecting investors of its legitimacy. Their operations were hosted on privacy-shielded infrastructure in Moldova and involved communication channels across the UK and Thailand, including WhatsApp, Telegram, and anonymous domains.
The scam combined:
